FASCODE/ICRCCM Model Atmospheres
Set of profiles distributed with FASCODE, originally from ICRCCM project.
- Profiles of T,p,H2O,CO2,O3,N2O,CO,CH4,and O2
- 50 levels from 0-120 km (1km spacing at surface, increasing to 5km at top)
- CO2 stratospheric values 330ppmv appropriate for early 1980's
MIPAS Model Atmospheres (1998)
- Profiles constructed at IMK, originally for the MIPAS non-LTE study
(Final Report, Contract 12054/96/NL/CN, ESTEC, 1998).
- Also used for the IRC 2000/RSMA intercomparison.
- Profiles of T,p,N2,O2,O3P,CO2,O3,H2O,CH4,N2O,HNO3,CO,NO2,N2O5,ClO,HOCl,ClONO2 and NO.
- 121 levels from 0-120 km at 1 km spacing (too fine for most purposes,
suggest using hgt_std.atm (above) as first file in
*ATM section to establish coarser grid)
- CO2 stratospheric values 345ppmv appropriate for 1992
MIPAS Model Atmospheres (2001)
- Profiles constructed by John Remedios (U.Leicester)
for MIPAS operational processing - contact
jjr8@leicester.ac.uk with any
queries
- Profiles of
T,p,N2,O2,CO2,O3,H2O,CH4,N2O,HNO3,CO,NO2,N2O5,ClO,HOCl,
ClONO2,NO,HNO4,HCN,NH3,F11,F12,F14,F22,CCl4,COF2,H2O2,
C2H2,C2H6,OCS,SO2 and SF6
- 121 levels from 0-120 km at 1 km spacing (too fine for most purposes,
suggest using hgt_std.atm (above) as first file in
*ATM section to establish coarser grid)
- CO2 stratospheric values 363ppmv appropriate for 2001
- day.atm Mid-Latitude, day-time (similar to US Std)
- ngt.atm Mid-Latitude, night-time
- win.atm Polar Winter
- sum.atm Polar Summer
- equ.atm Equatorial, day-time
- extra.atm 6 additional species not included
in the above (F13,F21, F113, F114, F115 and CH3Cl)
