leg 3 After about 1.25 miles take Shepperton-Weybridge ferry to north bank. Should depart every 15 mins, or ring the bell for service. Don't get blasted by martians while you wait! After this stay on the N bank, crossing Chertsey bridge road (not the bridge!!) and go under the M3. Blacksmith's lane is 4th road coming in to Laleham, about a mile past motorway. 4.7

leg 4 North bank into Staines, cross main road bridge to south bank after about 2.5 miles. Then stay on S Bank Under M25, past lock, then after about another mile and sharp bend to left, finish at Car park by the Windsor Road 4.3

leg 5 Stay on S Bank through Old Windsor. After about 3 miles cross the river on Southlea Rd (B3021). Path takes you round the field to the left, but then rejoins the road into Datchet. Keep going straigh at High Street, then past Queen's Road turn left down to river bank and follow along to the bridge. Cross to S Bank, follow river round Home Park, then Cross back to N Bank just past Windsor Train Stn. A further 2.3 miles or so gets you to the rowing lake. 8.2

leg 6 3.5 miles of rural towpath then Maidenhead. Cross to S Bank on A4 then follow Ray Mead Road. At 5 mile point is Lock Ave: bear right off the road to stay on river for a further 1.5 miles then follow stream in to Mill Lane. Turn left, then after a half mile turn right onto Sutton Road into Cookham. Bear right onto A4094 (Ferry Lane, and turn left to follow path through churchyard back to towpath. Then about a mile of rural towpath to finish by rail bridge. 8.6

leg 7 Cross to north bank to Bourne End, then follow river round to Marlow. On Mill Road, the path takes you inland, through Fisherman's Retreat, and through a churchyard before rejoining the river. Keep going along north bank until crossing back over the long arched footbridge after Temple Mill Lock. After another 600m turn right onto Hurley Island and follow path until returning to S Bank. Follow towpath round caravan site and finish at end of Frogmill Rd. 6.8

leg 8 A very nice looking rural route along the S Bank, only ducking inland briefly near Aston before taking Aston Ferry Lane back to the river. Reach Henley after just under 5 miles, cross the bridge, and finish a mile later at the end of Mill Lane. 5.8

leg 9 After the lock bridge follow the river for 0.5 miles before turning inland through lower Shiplake along Bolney Rd (not Bolney Lane). Turn right across the railway, then left down Mill Road. After half a mile Thames path turns left opposite Crowsley Road then cuts across field, and across Mill Lane before rejoining river. Then just over 2.5 miles of rural running turn left across a bridge, then left onto the road across another bridge to finish. 5

leg 10 Should be easy to navigate - just follow the S bank. Its two miles to Reading, then after a further 3.5 miles follow the rail line for about a mile before crossing the bridge and finishing on the Oxford Road 6.4

leg 11 From Oxford Road after a few hundred metres cut right through into Skerrit Way cul de sac and then turn left onto Hazel Road, right onto New Hill Road. Sidestep left onto Mapledurham Drive and follow it to the river. After two further miles you reach Pangbourne. Cross the River then turn left down the lane, following it around back up to the High Street through Whitchurch on Thames. After the village turn left onto Hartslock Bridleway and follow it all the way back to the river. Two miles further you reach Goring. Cross the river into Streatley, then turn right down to the Hotel car park to finish. 7.9

leg 12 After two miles along the S Bank, turn inland onto the Street through Moulsford. Turn right before the barns then follow the lane and go under the railway, then its just over three more miles along the river to Wallingford. Turn up lower Wharf and cut through to Thames Street, and finish by St Peter's Street. 6.2

leg 13 Cross the High Street, turn left down Castle lane then right down to the river. Follow for a little over a mile then cross the lock and weir at Preston Crowmarsh. Turn left onto the road and run past houses before bearing left to hoin N Bank of river. Another mile of scenic towpath then turn right onto Wallingford Rd for 100m before turning left down a lane. 200m further cut right round the backs of some houses and join Wharf Road. This takes you to the Henley Road (A4074), onto which you turn left and run for 400m before turning left down to rejoin the riverbank. A mile and a half of rural towpath, cross the lock at Little Wittenham, then its about 2.5 miles more of rural towpath to the bridge at Clifton Hampden where you finish. 8

leg 14 Cross the bridge and turn left down the N bank. A straight shot past lovely fields to the bridge at Culham - enjoy! 3.8

leg 15 Stay glued to the N bank for the 2.5 miles to the lock at Abingdon, which you cross and then turn right over a footbridge and right again to rejoin the path. A little wiggle round a woodland early on is the only slight diversion from the riverside path to Radley College boathouse. 5.9

leg 16 Should be familiar territory for everyone now! A mile and a half to Sandford on Thames where you turn right, pass the lock and follow the island path for about a half mile before rejoining the S bank. Across a field then over a footbridge and before you know it you're going under the Oxford ring road. Then a little over a mile to the Univ Boathouse. 4.3
